Background

Every summer, from the time I was 5 until I was 18, I spent 2 or 3 months in the house-island that our grandparents built in Romania. Ever since I was a child, everything has been blue, golden, saturated, just like the sea and sky in front of this house, and just like the photos I take there.

My subjects are intimately linked to my roots: I began by taking photos of my family, the sea, their ties and their relationship with the sea.

Mixed-format silver photographs taken between 2022 and 2024 in Eforie Nord, Romania. Custom made wooden frames. ESP32 mini-TV player.
